Partner. Prior to joining the firm, he acted as a general counsel to Corporación Financiera Nacional, a public financial institution. He has provided legal advice to foreign and multilateral financial entities such as the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) in transactions with public and private sector entities. He was the local counsel to CAF in Ecuador for more than 13 years. Legal advice to the European Investment Bank on the regulatory framework governing public debt and on financing transactions with public institutions. He has provided legal services to the French Development Agency (AFD) in operations with public sector entities and to a Czech bank in a financing transaction with a manufacturing company. He also provided legal assistance to the lenders of the New Quito airport project and to the Inter-American Development Bank. Since 1993, arbitrator of the arbitration tribunals of Quito’s Chamber of Commerce.
