Biography
Flavio Galdino is a founding partner at Galdino & Coelho Advogados. He has a law master’s degree and a doctoral degree in public law from the Rio de Janeiro State University, the same institution where he is currently a tenured professor of civil procedure (since 2000). He was admitted to practise law by the Brazilian Bar Association in 1997. Since 2006, Flavio has been an elected member of the board of the Brazilian Bar Association.
Flavio has vast experience in corporate and civil litigation, judicial recovery and reorganisation proceedings. He has been leading counsel to some of the most relevant corporate disputes in Brazil in the past 18 years. He has also worked on behalf of creditors, debtors and investors interested in acquiring distressed assets. He has taken part in some of the main insolvency cases in Brazil throughout the past decade (when the new legislation was enacted). He has worked as an expert on Brazilian law before American courts and has been favourably quoted by them.
Flavio has published several books and articles in Brazil and abroad.
