Biography
Fernando is a tax specialist with strong knowledge of corporate law and extensive experience in advising international and Brazil-based clients in the tax aspects involved in their businesses. His focus includes tax consultancy, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, transfer pricing and administrative litigation. He is a frequent lecturer in events in Brazil and abroad, besides being visiting professor of international tax law at Brazilian institutions. Fernando has previous experience in a wide scope of industries such as automotive, agricultural, banking, energy, investment funds, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, retail, services and transport.
Received his LLB and a postgraduation degree in tax law from Pontifícia Catholic University of São Paulo. Also has an LLM in international tax law from Leiden University, Netherlands.
Member of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law, International Fiscal Association, International Bar Association and American Bar Association.
