Biography
Fernando is senior partner and head of corporate M&A and high net worth (HNW) practices at Azevedo Sette Advogados. He draws upon more than 25 years’ experience advising clients in complex transactions involving commercial and financial contracts, foreign investments, mergers and acquisitions and succession planning matters, especially to the mining sector.
LLB from UFMG Law School, he was admitted to practise in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 1992. Master’s degree in law from the University of Pennsylvania, EUA (LLM, 1997).
Fernando was professor of Strategic Alliances in graduate courses at the School of Economics of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, International Negotiations at the Foreign Trade School of UNA-MG and International Transactions at IEC-PUC/MG.
Fernando is president of the Legal Network International (LNI), a network of independent law firms covering over fifty countries worldwide. He was foreign associate at Hannoch Weisman (New Jersey, 1994) and Dewey Ballantine (New York, 1997).
