Biography
Felipe Prado is a partner in BMA's finance and capital markets practice area. Specialising in corporate finance and banking regulations, he advises the firm’s clients on their financing and investment activities, assisting Brazilian and international financial institutions, public corporations, private equity funds, asset managers and securitisation companies in a wide variety of transactions involving public offerings and private placements of securities (notes, hybrid securities, promissory notes, debentures and bonds), securitisation of receivables (CRI, CRA, CEPAC), formation of structured investment funds (FIPs, FIDCs, FIIs and FIEs) and syndicated loans.
Felipe is familiar with the Basel accords on banking supervision and has experience in mergers and acquisitions of financial institutions. From 2013 to 2014 Felipe Prado worked as a visiting attorney in the corporate finance area of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York City. From 2006 to 2009, he practised banking and capital markets law with a large Brazilian law firm.
