Biography
Federico Araujo graduated from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (1974), and took graduate studies in tax law at the Central University of Venezuela (1975–1978). He participated in the Leadership in Law Firms programme at Harvard Law School (2009).
He is a founding partner of Torres Plaz & Araujo. Until November 2014, he headed the corporate tax and energy departments of the firm, dedicated to providing advisory services to important oil and gas corporations. He also assisted and directed the finances, corporate and regulatory projects for this type of clients and other industries and financial services. He currently serves as an of counsel.
He has focused his professional practice on the areas of tax, oil, corporate, commercial, civil, administrative, mining, bank and finance, insurance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment regulations and capital markets law.
