Biography
Esteban C Gorches G is a founding partner of Müggenburg, Gorches y Peñalosa, SC, where he is co-head of the areas of administrative and constitutional litigation, civil and commercial litigation, intellectual property and entertainment law.
Education: Universidad Iberoamericana (LLB, 1992); Southwestern Legal Foundation, University of Texas (Comparative Law, 1995); Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship, Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center and Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation, Tokyo (postgraduate course in industrial property rights, 1997).
Career: Mr Gorches has over 30 years of experience, focusing his practice primarily on litigation (administrative, constitutional and amparo, civil and commercial, competition antitrust, intellectual property, entertainment, energy and infrastructure, environmental/natural resources, international trade /customs, ports, government procurement, product liability, sanitary regulatory).
Membership: Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, AC (Mexican Bar Association), Asociación Mexicana para la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (AMPPI) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
Academic activities: Professor of Amparo (Mexican constitutional proceeding to vindicate fundamental/civil rights of individuals or companies) at the Law School of the Universidad Anahuac since 2006. Professor at Universidad Panamericana of Mexican Procedural Constitutional Law and Amparo from 2019 to 2020. Adjunct professor of introduction to the study of law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho from 1993 to 2010.
