Lawyer from the Pontifica Catholic University of Peru, he holds a master's degree (LLM) from Yale Law School (1997). Was a partner at Miranda & Amado between 2000 and 2016, when he left the firm to serve as chief adviser to the Peruvian Prime Minister (2016–2017) and later as Special Presidential Envoy to the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development – OECD in Paris (2017). He rejoined Miranda & Amado as a partner in 2018. He has been president of Alianza Pro Bono (2013–2016), member of the executive committee and of the board of directors of Enseña Perú (2013–2016), and member of the board of COFIDE (2016–2017). He received the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in Latin America Award by Latin Lawyer (2014). Prior to joining Miranda & Amado he was an associate with the law firm of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP (1997–2000) and Technical Secretary of the Unfair Competition Commission at INDECOPI (1995–1996). His professional practice focuses on infrastructure project development and financing, multilateral and corporate financing, capital markets, regulation and competition law.
