Eduardo has a strong background in banking and finance and specialises in restructuring and workouts, real estate finance and project finance. He has more than 25 years’ experience advising clients including financial institutions, global real estate investors and leading local corporations on their operations and transactions in the Mexican market. He’s restructuring practice covers debt and corporate restructurings, representing bank syndicates in some of the largest debt restructurings in Mexico.
He has strong experience in real estate financing, covering the retail, residential, industrial and hospitality markets. He represented GE Real Estate in the sale of its loan portfolio to the Blackstone group, as well as in previous transactions, including as lender in a secured syndicated financing for the acquisition by CKD FINSA and Walton Street México, of industrial properties for US$250 million; also represented GE Real Estate as lender in a secured syndicated financing for the acquisition by Frisa of industrial properties for US$200 million.
Eduardo worked in Chicago at international law firm Mayer Brown LLP. He received a postgraduate degree in economic and corporate law and another in civil law from the Universidad Panamericana. He graduated as an attorney from the same university.
