Previous work experience: National Customs Superintendency Officer (1992–1997) in charge of drafting legal rules to regulate foreign trade and customs operations; customs appraisal and import inspection specialist; adviser to the Peruvian state on the drafting of customs legislation and the creation, implementation and training in the operation of the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE). Professor of customs law at Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) (2000 to date); Member of the Peruvian Association of Customs Law and Foreign Trade (Apdaci). Fluent in Spanish and English. Practice areas: foreign trade and customs.
