Eduardo Calderón has over 20 years of experience in the legal disciplines of business law, real estate and hospitality and telecommunications, media and technology. He is highly active in mergers and acquisitions as well as in private equity issues. His experience in telecommunications, media and technology includes regulatory matters, acquisition of assets, media and assets funding, and sectorial disputes. In banking and finance, he represents foreign banks in the region as well as the underwriters of sovereign bonds issued by the Costa Rican government in international markets.
Eduardo graduated with honours from the University of Costa Rica and studied as a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar at Columbia University in New York. He earned a scholarship from the Organization of American States during his LLM programme. He has attended seminars on international transactions sponsored by Georgetown University and the Central American Business Administration Institute. Eduardo was named one of Central America’s top 40 corporate lawyers under 40 by the prestigious law journal, Latin Lawyer.
