Biography

Edgar is partner at the firm since 2004 where he heads the civil and commercial litigation and co-chairs the administrative practice areas. Edgar is currently member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Edgar’s thorough knowledge, strategic perspective and pragmatic approach at addressing complex matters, allow him to successfully assess legal contingencies and outline the best course of action on a case-by-case basis. His practice includes complex business litigation, constitutional matters, bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, prosecution and defence of fraudulent conveyance actions, fiduciary and civil litigation, as well as for several other dispute resolution matters.

Edgar has developed a strong consumer and data protection practice, where he represents clients before Mexico’s Consumer Protection Bureau (Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Consumidor – PROFECO) and the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI).

Edgar is currently a member of the Mexican Bar Association (BMA). He obtained his law degree from Universidad de Monterrey and his postgraduate studies in amparo law and business law from Universidad Panamericana and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), respectively.
