Biography
Edgar has been a partner at the firm since 2004 and heads the civil and commercial litigation practice and co-chairs the administrative one. He currently is a member of GC’s Executive Committee. Edgar’s thorough knowledge, strategic perspective and pragmatic approach to addressing complex litigation matters, allow him to successfully assess legal contingencies and outline the best course of action on a case-by-case basis. His practice includes complex business litigation, constitutional matters, bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, prosecution and defence of fraudulent conveyance actions, fiduciary and civil litigation, as well as for several other dispute resolution matters. Edgar has experience in comparative law, international judicial process cooperation, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards. His practice includes representing clients in civil, commercial and administrative procedures before governmental authorities and entities at federal and state levels. He has also developed a strong consumer and data protection practice, representing clients before Mexico’s Profeco and INAI.
