Biography

Daniel Peixoto has been a member of Machado Meyer’s tax department since 2008, mostly focusing his practice on administrative and judicial tax litigation. Peixoto also has a solid background in tax consulting. He is the author of two books and several articles in collective works and in specialised magazines on the matter.

Received his LLB from the Federal University of Espírito Santo and a postgraduate degree in tax law from Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários. He also has master’s degrees in tax law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.

Member of Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Tributário, the Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributários (IBET) and the International Bar Association.

Contracted professor at FGV since 2004, where he teaches on the subject Taxation on Consumption, within the postgraduate programme. He is also an invited lecturer professor in the specialisation courses in tax law of PUC-SP, IBET, IBDT and UniCuritiba.
