Biography
Daniel has 15 years of professional experience and has focused his practice in domestic and cross-border project finance, M&A, as well as structuring publicly traded private equity funds, representing clients from a wide range of industries. In the finance field, Daniel has extensive fintech experience advising startups venturing in newly authorised banking and financial activities in Mexico and in the regulatory authorisations required to operate as a financial technology Institution. Daniel’s experience also includes advising technology startups in the initial structuring, funding at different stages and buyouts. He also acts as fintech mentor in NeedEd Education, an online education platform. Daniel re-joined the firm in 2017 after working as foreign associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, LLP in New York. He holds an LLM from Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia in Madrid, Spain and obtained his law degree (JD equivalent) from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico.
