Biography

Daniel Gonzales is partner from our M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring and financing practice areas. He is a graduate lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), magna cum laude, and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring operations in Peru and Latin America. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Chicago, where he was a Russell Baker scholar. He also holds a certificate in energy law from PUCP, and a certificate in M&A from Georgetown University Law Center.

He was an international associate at the New York office of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP (2013–2014), where he focused his practice on domestic and foreign mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions.

He was an assistant professor of secured transactions at the University of Lima, and an assistant professor of commercial law at Pontificia Catholic University of Peru. Likewise, Daniel regularly contributes with articles and opinions to several national and foreign publications on matters of mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring.
