Christian has been with the firm since 2003 and previously worked in the Frankfurt, Munich and Sao Paulo offices of Linklaters LLP before joining Lefosse Advogados. He is dual qualified to advise under both Brazilian and German law. Christian has significant experience in cross-border M&A transactions, international and domestic joint ventures and private equity transactions. His experience includes advising corporate clients and financial institutions such as 3i, Accor, Barry Callebaut, BP, Brenntag, Celesio, Evonik, GIC, ITT, Kloeckner, Noble, Siemens, Suedzucker, Syngenta, Temasek, Trelleborg, ThyssenKrupp and Viacom on a broad range of large cross-border deals involving acquisitions and joint ventures with Brazilian counterparts.
Christian Roschmann is program ambassador and member of the Brazilian selection committee of the German Chancellor Fellowship Program hosted by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has been chosen by Chambers Latin America and by IFLR1000 as one of the leading corporate lawyers in Brazil.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of São Paulo - USP (as to Brazilian law), his PhD at the University of Kiel and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Munich – LMU (German law).
