Biography
Partner of Demarest’s litigation and arbitration and restructuring and bankruptcy areas, as well as member of the firm’s executive committee, Celso Caldas Martins Xavier holds a master’s degree (LLB) from Stanford Law School (USA) and a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP. He concentrates his practice in complex litigation, focusing on contractual disputes, crimes, cartel disputes, product liability and judicial reorganisation. He has extensive experience in the banking/investment, construction/engineering, oil and gas, automotive, life sciences, consumer goods and technology segments. He has also served as international lawyer at Fenwick & West LLP in the United States.
