Carolina is head of the labour department, given her extensive experience in labour and social security law. During her career, she has participated in several labour trials before the Costa Rican Supreme Court and represented multiple multinational companies. Also, she has been in charge of large negotiating processes and business closure of operations, participated in mergers and acquisition processes that include the most important private banks in Costa Rica, multinational transactions and complex labour conditions standardisation for companies. She provides regular labour law advice to companies with over 2,500 employees regarding the three different stages of a labour relationship.
She holds a master’s degree in labour law and Social Security, Universidad Estatal a Distancia, Costa Rica, (2006) and a law degree, University of Costa Rica, San José, Costa Rica, (2002).
