Biography

Educated at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2002), master’s in finance and corporate law, at ESAN University (2010), and master’s in law, corporate law at the New York University – School of Law (2013). Partner in the financial and corporate practice area, specialising in project financing, corporate financing, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate advisory having participated in a wide range of areas with special emphasis on retail, energy, mining and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Rubio Leguía Normand, Carlos worked for New York-based law firms such as Sidley Austin, DLA Piper and Clifford Chance.

Finally, he has worked as a professor of the courses of securities market and structures of a corporate agreement for an LLM, both for University of Lima and for ESAN University (School of Law). Carlos has authored several articles published in specialist journals at a local and international level.
