Biography

Born in Mexico City, Mexico. Educated at Universidad Anahuac (JD, 1998) and Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, Illinois (LLM, 2001) and Kellogg Graduate School of Business (postgraduate course in business, 2001). Worked as a foreign associate at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett (2001 to 2002) and at Cuatrecasas Abogados, Madrid (2003–2005). His practice focuses on M&A, private equity and real estate. Regularly advises large multinationals and private equity investors and sponsors on acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures in Mexico across multiple industries and sectors. He continues representing pension funds, private equity funds and other investors in their real estate investments; including acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, development and management of their assets in Mexico. Also, he leads the corporate social responsibility and pro bono programme and is very active promoting pro bono and abroad. He is chairman of the board of Centro Mexicano Pro Bono and is an active member of the Lawyers Council for Civil and Economic Rights of the Vance Center for International Justice.
