Biography
Carlos pioneered competition and antitrust law in Mexico, where he was one of the first lawyers to specialise in regulated industries. He brings enormous technical expertise and over 15 years of professional experience to the table.
His advice benefits clients as he is able to tap his invaluable experience obtained from participating in some of the most complex transactions and proceedings before Mexican regulators and competition agencies.
Carlos frequently represents railway operators and telecommunications carriers in regulatory and antitrust proceedings. He also represents financial institutions in proceedings before banking and securities regulators and competition agencies. In addition, he advises various big pharma players in strategic transactions and represents them in securing antitrust clearance. Carlos also works closely with our energy team on matters involving competition issues in the electricity and hydrocarbons markets.
