Mr Peredo has been a partner at Basham, Ringe y Correa, SC since January 2007, and his practice in general involves antitrust, and mergers and acquisitions. He has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences.
Mr Peredo has broad experience representing national and international clients in all areas of competition law, including pre-merger filings before the Competition Commission, investigations for cartel cases and abuse of dominance, leniency applications, compliance programmes and general advice on competition matters.
In 2004 published one of the few books on Mexican antitrust law called Economic Competition: Theory and Practice which is used as a text at many Mexican universities.
Obtained his law degree at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in 1996. He also obtained a master’s degree at Georgetown University Law Center, specialising in antitrust law and is therefore familiar with US antitrust law.
