Álvaro José Rodríguez is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. His practice focuses on natural resources and energy, specialising in oil and gas, mining and environmental law, mergers and acquisitions, and financing of the electricity sector.
His work includes the structuring, documenting, and negotiation in oil, gas and mining transactions, including host country, shareholder and operating agreements.
He has advised important international companies in the acquisition and subsequent operation of assets for exploration and production in Colombia, in tenders, farm-ins, mergers, options and other agreements. He has also worked on mergers and acquisitions in other sectors, such as power generation, biofuels and gas transportation, as well as with international banks for financing transactions, union statements and financing guaranteed with reserves.
