Mr Lewin is the founding partner of the firm and the head of the tax group. He advises clients on the tax aspects of cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, reorganisations, partnerships and joint ventures, and structured finance. Mr Lewin also advises individual clients on income and estate tax matters, and advises a range of clients on transfer-pricing tax issues arising from transactions among related parties. Mr Lewin has also acted as arbitrator in controversies related to tax and corporate matters. Mr Lewin has written articles on Colombian and international taxation, and he has spoken on such subjects in Colombian and foreign universities and forums. Mr Lewin is a former dean of the School of Law of Los Andes University in Colombia, and has acted as associate judge in the highest courts in Colombian for public law and constitutional matters.
