Biography

Alexia Rosenthal is the head of the banking, project finance and capital markets practice. She specialises in capital markets, local and cross-border financing, project finance, infrastructure and Central Bank regulations.

Alexia is the chair of the executive committee of the firm.

Currently, she is vice chair of the Women's Interest Network (WIN) of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association.

She has been a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires since 1995.

She acts as external legal counsel to Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos SA (BYMA), the stock exchange that integrates and represents the main market players of the local market and she is member of the board of directors of the Mercado Abierto Electrónico(MAE), the most important electronic securities and foreign-currency trading market in Argentina.

She is member of the board of directors of the Argentinean Bank Lawyers Committee (Comité de Abogados de Bancos). She is also member of the Argentine Chapter of Women Corporate Directors (WCD).

She acts as external legal counsel to the Argentine Chamber of Mutual Funds -CAFCI-and to Caja de Valores, the only Depositary Agent in Argentina.

She is a Member of the board of directors of the Argentine Chamber of Trusts and Funds of Direct Investment in Productive Activities (CAFIDAP).

She is a member of the board of directors of the Argentine Chapter of the Weizmann Institute of Science.

She obtained her degree from the School of Law of Buenos Aires University in 1995 and she also graduated as Bachelor in Political Sciences from the same university (1996).

She attended the master’s degree in politics of the world economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (1997) and conducted postgraduate studies in business law specialisation at Austral University (1999).

She is a regular speaker in domestic and international seminars and she periodically contributes with national and international publications.
