Alexandro M Padrés is the head of the Latin America practice group and a partner in the project development & finance practice.
He focuses on infrastructure projects as they relate to electricity (both conventional and clean/renewable), O&G, telecommunications and mining, with particular emphasis on Mexico and Chile, specifically, and Latin America, in general. Recently, Alexandro’s practice has consisted of portfolio financings in several jurisdictions (in various modalities and levels of complexity), including advising on Mexican renewables projects, gas transportation infrastructure and legacy Mexican IPP projects. He advised on ENGIE’s first green loan financing, the Fruta del Norte Project in Ecuador (IJGlobal’s Latin America Mining & Metals Deal of the Year), an electric bus concession in Chile and the first securitisation of PAMPI rights in Peru.
Alexandro is recognised as a Leading US Attorney in Mexico by The Legal 500, is ranked in Chambers Latin America and is among Latinvex’s Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers.
