Biography
Alexandra Orbezo is a partner at the firm. She is a graduate lawyer from the University of Lima, having earned her degree with honours, summa cum laude, and ranked first in the Law School. She holds a master’s degree in law (LLM) with specialisation in corporate governance and practice from Stanford University. Alexandra has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions operations, and is also the lead partner of our venture capital area.
She has been an international associate at the New York office of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she focused her practice on M&A and securities transactions in Latin America.
She is a former assistant professor of securities law at the University of Lima and a member of the Bar in Lima and New York. Likewise, she regularly contributes with articles and opinions to several national and foreign publications on mergers & acquisitions and venture capital, and continuously participates as a speaker at conferences on these topics.
Alexandra is a member of the board of directors of the Network of Angel Investors of the PAD of the University of Piura, a member of the Public Policy Committee of the Peruvian Association of Seed and Entrepreneurial Capital - PECAP, and is also a mentor of the Endeavor Peru network.
