Biography
Alex Córdova leads our tax practice group. He counsels on the of tax-related aspects of financial operations such as derivative contracts, trusts, taxation of extractive industries, mutual and investment funds, consumption taxation and securitisations.
He represents clients on tax processes both in administrative instances and the Judiciary. He has successfully counselled clients on the most relevant tax cases on this matter in the country. He is a frequent speaker at local and international forums, and authored various tax-related articles. He taught consumption tax at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
Education: Universidad Católica de Santa María from Arequipa Law School (1994). Memberships: Lima Bar Association, Peruvian Institute of Tax Law International Fiscal Association (IFA) – Peruvian Group – President (2010 – 2012). Languages: Spanish and English.
