Biography
Born in Mexico City, Mexico. Educated at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (BS), Universidad del Valle de Mexico (JD) and University of Texas (MBA). Conducted postgraduate studies in international taxation at Harvard University and Leiden University and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Mr Santoyo specialises in tax advisory for M&A, capital markets, structured finance, estate planning and private equity. Advises large multinationals, banks, global private equity investors and sponsors across multiple industries.
Among others, regularly advises large multinationals banks and global private equity investors and sponsors on acquisitions and investments in Mexico across multiple industries. Mr Santoyo was invited as partner of the firm in 2014 and previously worked as tax partner of Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cía, SC for more than 10 years. During 1997 and 2002 he worked for JP Morgan as tax vice president with responsibilities in Mexico and other offices in Latin America.
