Alejandro obtained a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires Law School in 2001 and completed a postgraduate degree in oil and gas at the same university in 2002.
He joined the firm in 2002 as a member of the firm’s banking and finance team and between 2006 and 2007, he practised as a foreign associate in Shearman & Sterling LLP (New York).
In his daily practice at Bruchou, Alejandro advises banks, funds and corporations in local and international capital markets transactions, bank lending, acquisition finance, financing of infrastructure and energy projects (including transactions under the Argentine government’s PPP and renewable energy programmes) and for the acquisition finance of aircraft. He has participated in a significant number of transactions related to debt securities (sovereign/sub-sovereign and corporate) as well as shares/ADRs. Besides, he advises financial institutions and local and international companies on regulatory matters. He also has vast experience in private equity deals, bank financings and securitisations, as well as in debt restructurings, workouts and advising clients regarding foreign exchange regulations.
