Alejandro has relevant experience in banking and finance and leads matters in diverse industry sectors like IPOs, project and corporate finance, start-ups, environmental matters and cross-border commercial transactions. He has been recently involved in 144 A/Regulation S private offerings and power projects development and financing.
Alejandro advised international and local environmental organisations regarding the viability and implementation of a REDD+ project at the Reserva de la Biosfera Maya, one of the largest natural reserves in Central America.
After completing his LLM at the University of Texas, Alejandro worked in Washington DC at the IIC as well as in a joint programme with an international law firm and CI. Alejandro is dual-qualified to practise in Guatemala in New York and teaches financial law and common law system at several law schools in Guatemala.
Alejandro frequently acts as arbitrator for local and international commercial disputes, including recently an ICC dispute matter.
