Alberto has over 15 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, providing legal counsel to domestic, foreign companies, and individuals mainly on trademarks, copyright, litigation, franchising, licensing and distribution. His experience includes advising clients in both consulting and litigation matters related to the protection and defence of IP rights, as well as in the negotiation, drafting and execution of franchise agreements, licences and distribution. Alberto provides corporate IP advice in transactional matters including IP due diligence, and preparation of IP protection clauses, as well as other types of agreements. His practice has been widely recognised by several directories and has contributed to numerous publications on IP matters including Chambers and Partners, among others. Alberto holds an LLM in IP from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and a postgraduate degree in IP from Universidad Panamericana. He holds a law degree from UNAM in Mexico.
