Agustín is a partner at Beccar Varela. He joined the firm in 2010, when it merged with Fortunati & Asociados. He heads the firm’s competition and antitrust and consumer protection department.
His practice areas include competition and antitrust, consumer protection and internet law. He also has broad expertise in intellectual property law. Agustín has participated in many complex acquisitions and investigations, representing clients from a vast array of industries. He provides frequent advice to clients developing online businesses, such as retailers offering online sales, content providers and companies that provide processing, booking and reservation services, and which commercialise air tickets and hotels online.
Agustín obtained his law degree from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2001) and his master’s of laws (LLM) from the University of Toronto, Canada (2005). He is professor of competition law and intellectual property at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
He has published several academic articles.
