Finance and capital markets: Sebastian Luegmayer leads this area, advising corporations and financial entities in every aspect of banking and finance. He is actively involved in the most innovative capital markets transactions. He worked bond issuances for John Deere Credit, among others. He advises ISDA in relation to netting legislation in Argentina.
Compliance: Led by Miguel AM Tesón and Juan Pablo Fratantoni, jointly with of counsel Eduardo Calvo, we advise local and foreign clients, across a wide range of industries, in the design, implementation, audit and/or training about their compliance or integrity programmes, code of conducts, ethics rules to adapt them pursuant to Argentine laws as well as legal assistance in administrative/judicial proceedings related to these matters.
Constitutional, public and administrative law: Jorge Muratorio and Agustina Fanelli Evans constitute a well-regarded team working on a wide range of complex matters in public transport, public procurement, administrative disputes, consumer, environmental, etc, advising and representing, among others, Pampa Energía, Edenor, Andrade Gutierrez, Claro Argentina, Grupo Concesionario del Oeste SA, Autopistas del Sol SA.
Antitrust, telecommunications, energy and heavily regulated markets: Agustín Siboldi leads the antitrust and telecom practices well seconded by Agustina Fanelli Evans. They team up with Uriel O'Farrell in energy matters. They also share the practice in other heavily regulated markets, such as pharmacy retail and the car industry. In these fields, they advise FORD, ESSO, YPF, YPF Luz, ENI, AXION, EDENOR, TRANSENER, Naturgy, Telefónica, CLARO, Farmacity, Pampa Energía’s subsidiaries, etc.
Civil and commercial litigation – complex litigation: Francisco Astolfi leads a well-regarded civil and commercial litigation team, and coordinates a team composed of associates and senior lawyers. The area is supported by an extensive legal network with a presence in every province of the country.
Tax law: This area is led by partner Miguel AM Tesón. He works alongside Guillermo Lalanne (president of the Argentine Fiscal Association), Valeria Estathio and María Celina Valls. The department has strong expertise in complex tax litigation matters. It completes its practice covering a wide range of local and international tax issues, including international tax planning and transfer pricing.
Customs law: Led by Gustavo Müller, the area provides advice to major national and international companies as to import and export regimes, tariff classification, custom valuation, free zones, in-factory and in-country customs, international transit of goods, temporary import or export, staggered shipping, Mercosur and Aladi, among other international agreements and treaties.
Labour law: José Luis Zapata leads this area with the support of partner Ignacio Castiglione. The area provides employment advice to major companies in the area of electric power, oil and gas, retail, construction, etc. Jose Luis participated in important labour agreements as counsel for the Chamber of Petroleum Industry. The team successfully manages labour lawsuit portfolios, collective labour disputes management and collective bargaining agreements negotiation.
Pro bono: The firm is a co-founder member of the Comisión Pro Bono Clearing House, the pro bono committee created in December 2000 by the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association.
