Most of our work in the Nicaragua office pertains to business law, namely corporate reorganisations, legal audits, distribution contracts, complex due diligence and M&A transactions, as well as advice on day-to-day matters, particularly to local banks and other financial institutions with an emphasis on capital markets. The team is also strong in the mining industry, advising international heavyweight clients on their incursion into the Nicaragua market, including negotiations, drafting mining agreements, advising joint ventures for mining projects, applying for regulatory approval of mining concessions and structuring models for projects related to the industry.
