Brazilian supermarket chain Sendas Distribuidora (Assaí) has turned to Pinheiro Guimarães to purchase 71 stores from counterpart Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição, which operates as Pão de Açúcar, for 5.2 billion reais (US$946 million).
