Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in São Paulo and New York and Brazilian firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados have helped local energy company MC Brazil Downstream issue bonds worth some US$1.8 billion – understood to be the largest project bond offering in the country’s history.

Vinson & Elkins LLP in New York and Baker McKenzie (Colombia) have helped Mexican infrastructure group Aleatica obtain a multi-tranche financing worth 2.7 trillion Colombian pesos (US$747 million) to develop a toll road – Autopista Río Magdalena 2 – in northern Colombia.

Colombian 4G project issues first social bonds

Paul Hastings LLP in New York, Washington, DC and London and Posse Herrera Ruiz in Bogotá have helped a Sacyr-owned Colombian concessionaire raise 760 million pesos (US$204 million) in a social bond issuance, the first-ever for a Latin American infrastructure project.
