Panama enacts new laws governing electronic commerce
Law 43 of July 31 of this year regulates electronic commerce, documents and signatures in Panama, as well as the services provided by certification entities, and the use of these means in the formation of valid commercial transactions. This legislation is primarily based on both the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce and UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Signatures.
