New rules on the "special market"
Under Article 189 of Chile’s Securities Market Law, the Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros (SVS) establishes the form in which the registration of foreign securities shall be carried out. In certain cases the SVS may restrict the trading of particular foreign securities to the so-called ‘special market’, where only ‘qualified investors’ may operate.
