Gonzalo leads the firm’s energy and infrastructure group. His practice focuses on the representation of developers, operators, financial institutions and multinational companies in a wide range of power, renewable energy, oil and gas and infrastructure-related projects. He has particular expertise in project finance with multilateral organisations, export credit agencies and commercial banks, in M&A transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, and advising infrastructure and energy funds, private equity firms and institutional investors in all aspects relating to the development, financing or acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects.
Member of the International Bar Association, the Uruguayan Bar Association and the Uruguayan Renewable Energies Association. Educated at the Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law, Center for American and International Law, Dallas, USA (2003), and graduated as attorney from Universidad de la República.
