Maria Luisa has a Juris Doctor from the University of Lima Law School.
She has more than 20 years focusing her professional practice in project finance and development, PPP projects, public law, corporate and finance.
In recent years, she advised clients developing large infrastructure projects in energy, oil and gas, renewable energy, ports, transportation, and urban toll roads, among other sectors, covering all the project stages since its designing and structuring and until its respective start of commercial operation.
Also, she has provided legal advice in financing and investment to financial entities, investment funds, multilaterals and other investors.
Recently, she has participated, through the World Bank, as member of the consultant team supporting the government of Peru on the improvement of the PPP policies and practices for the project structuring (engineering design and financial modelling), contract risk allocation and bankability in order for the PPP projects to meet international best practices and to attract high-quality concessionaires.
Currently, she continues to participate as a member of another consultant team organised by the World Bank Group to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, for the reform of its PPP programme, in particular for the development of guidelines for evaluation of PPP contractual modifications.
