Cecilia Azar is a partner of the litigation and arbitration area. Her practice is focused on arbitration, mediation and judicial proceedings related to arbitration. The sectors or industries in which she has specialised in the past five years have been: energy, infrastructure, construction and family/commercial mediations. Among her clients are national and foreign companies that have signed contracts in energy or construction and infrastructure. Her recent affairs involve complex controversies that arise from PPA contracts and public and private works. She has also participated in matters related to distribution contracts, technology transfer and international sales. She was General Secretary and Counsellor of the Arbitration Centre of Mexico (CAM).
She is currently Vice President of the ICC Mexico’s Arbitration Commission and Director of the Mexican Institute of Arbitration (IMA). She’s also part of the BMA, the Spanish Arbitration Club and ALArb.
