Miguel Zaldivar has been selected to serve as Hogan Lovells’ next CEO for the term starting 1 July 2020. He is now Regional Chief Executive, Asia-Pacific Middle East region and has been a member of the Hogan Lovells global board, and has served as co-head of the firm's infrastructure, energy, resources and projects practice and of the Latin America practice.
With his years of experience in project development and finance, complex sovereign debt (including linked to commodity sales) and cross-border corporate transactions, he has facilitated multibillion-dollar investments aimed at the development of projects across Latin America.
He advises multinationals in business dealings in the Americas, as well as Latin American state-owned companies and governments in international matters. He has years of hands-on experience with global export-credit and development banks, including China Development Bank, the Export-Import Bank of China, Japan Bank of International Cooperation, IFC, Russia's Eximbank and the European Investment Bank.
