Guillermo has been part of EY’s international tax team in Central America and Dominican Republic as well as the firm’s transaction advisory (M&A) team in New York. Guillermo has more than 17 years of experience in tax.
He has experience in local and international tax planning, the design and implementation of multi-jurisdictional transactions, corporate and investment structures. He has also worked extensively on due diligence processes, tax reviews and transaction planning with private equity firms, hedge funds and other investors.
Guillermo holds a law degree from the University of Costa Rica and has a technical degree in finance from the same university. He holds an LLM in international taxation from New York University where he was a Fulbright scholar.
