María Victoria Funes is a partner in the financial services and capital markets department.
Her practice focuses on capital markets, financing operations – including the issuance of notes in the local and international markets – and mergers and acquisitions.
She has wide experience providing advice on capital market, banking and foreign exchange rules and on matters relating to anti money-laundering regimes. She regularly provides advice on financial, money laundering and foreign exchange summary proceedings before the National Securities Commission the Financial Information Unit and the Argentine Central Bank. Between 2017 and part of 2018, she worked as a foreign associate at Linklaters LLP (New York).
She is a lecturer of the Department of Economic and Business Law at the University of Buenos Aires, and author of various publications.
She is a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires and of the Committee of Banking Lawyers of Argentina.
