Biography
João Marcelo Pacheco is a partner at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, and has worked for the firm since 1998. He advises clients in corporate/securities law, with an emphasis on M&A and private equity deals, as well as on capital markets and complex projects (including infrastructure and project finance). He holds an LLB from the University of São Paulo (2001), a specialisation degree in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2005); and an LLM from the London School of Economics (2006) under the sponsorship of the British Council – Foreign and Commonwealth Office and HSBC Foundation Trust. He was a foreign associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, in New York (2006–2007). He is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and German, and a member of the technical area of the Brazilian Takeover Panel (CAF).
