Javier Petrantonio is the managing partner of the firm. He heads the firm's litigation practice and co-heads the mergers & acquisitions department.
He specialises in acquisitions and has taken part in several transactions representing multinational companies that invested in Argentina. He has also assisted local companies in corporate reorganisations, merger procedures, joint ventures and transfers of going concerns.
Mr Petrantonio has also been deeply involved in complex commercial arbitration proceedings at local (Buenos Aires Stock Exchange Arbitration Tribunal) and international arbitration tribunals (LCIA, ICC). He also represents clients in judicial litigation resulting from conflicts in the interpretation of shareholders’ agreements and price adjustment procedures in share purchase agreements of various M&A transactions.
He is also a member of the IBA, where he currently is the Latin American Regional Forum Liaison Officer for the Law Firm Management Committee.
He received an LLM in international commercial law from Nottingham University, in 1994.
