María Recondo is a partner within the firm’s general corporate practice. She has extensive experience in international business transactions, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, worldwide agreements for the supply of goods and services, outsourcing agreements, sale agreements, distribution agreements, EPC contracts, software licence agreements and other commercial cross-border agreements, and competition law.
Ms Recondo regularly advises clients on complex strategic agreements, investment projects, strategic alliances and joint ventures in several jurisdictions. She has been actively involved in investment projects in Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Mexico and the USA, and regularly participates as a conference speaker at training sessions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms Recondo was a senior adviser at YPF SA’s legal department (2005–2007), a legal consultant to the New Businesses Unit of Tecpetrol, advising the company on acquisitions, cross-border commercial transactions and corporate matters (1997–2004), and a member of the Techint Group’s legal department (1995–1996).
