Summary of experience: Venezuelan legal counsel to the sponsors in the project financing of Petrozuata and to the lenders in the project financing of the Sincor project and the Orinoco iron project. Participated in the Cerro Negro Project Financing. Participated in the negotiations and drafting of the Hamaca Association Agreement from the beginning of the project. Has participated in all of the four extra heavy oil association agreements and the restructuring pursuant to the 2007–2008 nationalisation. Lead counsel in the 2007–2008 project financing of the Metor Project, the issuance of bonds by Electricidad de Caracas, the acquisition by Johnson & Johnson of the Product Health Care unit from Pfizer; Participated in the VLNG gas project and the Mariscal Sucre project, including structuring and design of possible financing structures. Participated in the financing of the Anaco Project; lead Venezuelan counsel for the lenders in the restructuring of the project financing of Sincor project and counsel the termination of the project financing of the Cerro Negro as a consequence of the nationalisation of the sector; counseled Conoco Phillips in the nationalisation of the Petrozuata Project; Advised Mitsui and Mitsubishi in the Delta Caribe LNG Project. Advised Chevron for the financing of the Petroboscan Project. Currently renders day-to-day advice mostly to oil companies.
