Catalina is a partner in the firm’s banking and finance, and restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy practice groups. She has been recognised by major legal directories as an associate to watch in corporate finance. She has more than 14 years of experience and has been with the firm since 2009.
Catalina has advised clients on complex financing transactions, including corporate financing, project finance and debt issuances. She has counselled clients on closing complicated deals, structuring elaborate financing transactions, and negotiating a wide variety of guarantee agreements and has significant experience advising multilateral entities. Recently, she provided counsel to the ad hoc Committee and Computershare Trust Company of Canada as collateral agent in the financing through the issuance of guaranteed debtor-in-possession notes by Pacific Exploration and Production Corporation to current note holders and the Catalyst Capital Group Inc on behalf of investment funds. This financing, in the amount of US$500 million, was part of a plan for the restructuring of financial obligations of the Pacific Exploration and Production Corporation.
She has an LLM in corporate law from New York University (USA) and was admitted to practise in the state of New York in 2012.
